Below are photos of previous exhibitions, and gives an indication of what may be expected this year.
The Club has had a Model Railway Exhibition every year for at least 15 years. Starting originally at Nailsea, where the Club used to meet, it soon moved to its current venue in The Princes Hall, Clevedon, where there is sufficient space for a reasonably sized show. The Club has often pondered on whether to move to much larger premises, but with that, comes the risk of much increased costs and minimal increase in revenue. Last year was the Club’s 30th Anniversary, and the thought to put on a larger show for just one year was considered. But, rather than move to another venue, an opportunity was taken to use some additional rooms, and as this proved to be a great success, we are pleased to be able to provide the same size of exhibition for this year
Recently, the Club has brought in some high quality layouts from outside of our area, layouts which would not have been shown locally before. These have attracted much interest, shown by higher attendances. It is intended to continue bringing in such layouts, and when combined with some of the best layouts in the ‘west’, we believe that our show provides excellent value and enjoyment. Long may it continue!
