The NAILSEA and DISTRICT Model Railway Club was formed in 1978, and since that date has grown to its present size of about 20 full members.

The club meets every Tuesday from 7:30 to 10:00 at the Clevedon Craft Centre. A map and details of how to find us is provided (Click on “where we Meet” above).

The Objectives of the Club are: a. To build, maintain, and operate model railway layouts and techniques b. To promote the exchange of ideas and information on any aspect of the railway theme c. To foster a social atmosphere centred around the hobby.

Club members model many different prototypes, from both British Isles and overseas. Within the club, all of the common (and some of the not so common) scales are catered for. Modellers of all standards are welcome, beginners especially so.
|

|
Workshops are regularly held on many modelling subjects.
|
|
·
|
Club, and individual member’s model railway layouts are being regularly exhibited all over the country. Most Layouts are detailed in the Layouts Section of this site.

Annual Club Fees: Full Member (anyone from age 18 to 64): GBP 55.00 Full Senior Member (age 65 or over): GBP 27.50 Family Membership (Junior member(s), accompanied by parent/guardian): additional GBP 30.00 max. Country Member (any person who wishes to participate in club activities on an irregular basis): GBP 27.50 Associate Member see note below : GBP 10.00 (rate for new members and renewals)

An Associate Member is any person who wishes to maintain contact with the Club, but is unable to be an active member. Associates will be entitled to free admission to exhibitions and will be welcomed to visit the Club for the odd casual visit, but not to the AGM. It is now open to anyone in the UK to get help and assistance in building and operating model railways - are you interested?

On the first Tuesday of each month we usually have a special interest evening such as a talk on some aspect of modelling or railways in general (see “Activities” for details of forthcoming Talks).
This night had been used to demonstrate the art of Airbrushing, with a talk by Peter Everitt.
