ANEILAN ROAD
OO-Gauge BR, by Paul Taylor
A small country station that retains a small yard, but the station buildings have been converted and are now the ‘Badger’s Holt’ pub!
Note: This layout can connect to “Dovington Camp”

Aneilan Road is a small country station that still retains a small yard which is served by ‘speedlink’ trip workings.
The design is based upon the layout and workings of Lapford circa 1990 but with a twist. As well as fertilizer, chipboard and timber traffic, the yard also contains a transfer point for flasks to/from a secret Torchwood research facility. Passenger services are now mainly in the hands of sprinters although some DMU and loco-hauled substitutes can still be seen. These run between the frequent freight trains, which still use this secondary line, as well as those serving the MoD Depot at Dovington Camp.
The layout is of a modular design, with each part able to operate on its own or with others. The adjacent photo shows the combined Aneilan Road and Dovington Camp layouts in their full 30ft format.
Where are Aneilan Road and Dovington Camp ? Well, that information is ‘Classified’ and if we told you, we'd have to shoot you !! Suffice to say, 'somewhere in Britain'. (Conveniently, this allows the layout to operate as anywhere from Scotland to Cornwall !)

Station building -
now converted to the “badgers Holt” pub

look out for Dr Who’s Tardis and Daleks.
Station and Yard, showing crane and sidings
The ‘fiddle yard’ on the right has been hidden by adding a village, thus extending scenery beyond the railway.
The complete station and goods area.
A bridge links the two layouts - viewed from two aspects
A ‘Spinter’ enters the station
Village scene close-ups of the ‘White Hart’ pub, vicarage, and village Hall
Crop Circles - next to river (strange!)
The connection of Aneilan Road to Dovington Camp, via river bridge. This represents the camp in the 1990’s and provides an interesting layout, with through movement of stores and vehicles.
