FEOCK (A Cornish coastal town)
Layout built and operated by John Anderson
Scale:’OO’ (4mm/ft.)
A digitally controlled Layout depicting railway operations
at a small Cornish terminus in the late 1980's/early 1990's.
The layout is an example of a small town in Cornwall. Unfortunately, the town of Feock never had a railway, the Great Western passed it by on the way to Falmouth and the Admiralty missed the opportunity for a large deep water harbour.
But, applying Modeller's Licence Number JA0783.P4 Feock sits at the end of branch from Truro and the residents are served by a local DMU shuttle to the main1ine. However the main traffic on the branch is to the large MOD dockyard. The commercial docks at Feock are involved in the ad hoc movement of steel products. A rail-served china-clay-drying facility is also situated there and oil is irregularly brought in by rail.
Situated in the docks is Dave Poldarkside Scrap Merchants who scrap redundant rolling stock. The remains being railed to the hungry furnaces of Cardiff and Sheffield.
