THE GROCKLBAHN was a narrow-gauge light railway, which ran somewhere on the border between Austria and East Germany.

It was not ‘fussy’ on the origins of its stock, and ran anything that had been cast-off by other such railways.  Even the gauge didn’t seem to worry the GROCKLBAHN; its stock seemed to vary from that designed originally to run on gauges from 750 mm to 1000 mm.

The liveries of so many different railways were found running on the line, as it was never in a hurry to repaint anything.

This layout represents the fictitious GROCKLBAHN railway.  It has a central operating area, and so can be views from all sides.  The layout requires two operators.

This is actually three layouts in one, since it can be converted into:
