JYNNONTONIX
A German/Austrian Main-Line in HO Gauge
SORRY: AT PRESENT, THIS LAYOUT IS UN-AVAILABLE FOR EXHIBITION
Owned by Alan Crombie
The town of JYNNONTONIX is situated on the Roseheim to Innsbruck main line, next to the river Inn on the German/Austrian Border, and in fact, it used to be a customs post until the country barriers were relaxed due to the EU deregulation.
It has since been developed into a small trans-shipment area, with a number of distribution companies setting up.
The area was found to have high quality stone, consequently there is a stone loading facility (working). Very early on it was decided that due to the development of traffic on the river Inn, that the far warehouse, which at the moment is empty, will be demolished, and a container trans-shipment facility will be installed (again working).
Both the lower main electrified lines and the freight branch are fully signalled. It should be noted that there is a lot of DB and OBB stock passing, as DB stock still.works down as far as Innsbruck and OBB stock still works up as far as Nurnberg.
The Layout is modelled in HO, and as with most of this kind, a certain degree of license has been used. The stock is mainly Roco, Liliput and Flieschmann, with the odd appearance of Kato, Lima and Klein Modellbahn.
